Why we built Kiavi
Auth is the most-rebuilt feature in software, and the most-broken. Most teams either roll their own (and ship security holes), or hand it to an American vendor and inherit pricing surprises and data-residency headaches. We thought European builders deserved a third option.
What we believe
- Authentication should be a redirect, not a project.
- Modern login methods (passkeys, email codes, OAuth) beat passwords. We stopped offering the bad ones.
- Pricing should be predictable. €0.01 per monthly active user, no per-feature upcharges, no MAU traps.
- Your data stays in the EU because your users are in the EU. We host in Paris.
- Self-service first. If you need to schedule a sales call to try a developer tool, the tool is wrong.
Where we are
Kiavi is a small, distributed European team. Our infrastructure runs on Scaleway in Paris. We do not depend on Big Tech cloud providers for anything that touches your users' data.
